Club News

As most of you may have already heard, sadly Melbourne will now be heading back into a snap Stage 4 lockdown for 5 days effective from midnight tonight until midnight 17 February.

The advertised WSC Registration session scheduled to take place tomorrow morning (Sat 13 Feb) has now been cancelled.

Rescheduled date will be announced after the lockdown ends.

Accordingly, ALL training has been cancelled as it is not permitted under Stage 4 restrictions.

Stay Positive and Stay Safe!

Change Continues to Happen at Williamstown SC…

Here’s what Happened Today: ⚽️Temporary fencing has been installed around the WSC Clubrooms, the area is now classified as a construction zone and is OUT OF BOUNDS !

NO ONE is permitted inside the temporary fencing to collect ANY stray soccer balls – Coaches, please try to limit goal shooting practice around this area.

Any balls kicked over the fence during training will need to be collected on the next available working day.

If you disobey the rules and go inside the fencing and get injured, YOU WILL NOT BE COVERED for insurance.

Please note, pedestrian entry to ALL pitches (incl. Pitch 1) is now via the gates located at the far right side of JT Gray Reserve (Mobil end).

⚽️ Also, Two portable changing rooms were recently installed – today, the power was connected (& happy to report that the air-con works well !).

What’s Next:

⚽️ With demolition of the WSC Clubrooms scheduled to commence in the next 2-3 weeks, and the long awaited construction of our new WSC Pavilion scheduled to commence in April, we are hopeful that portable shower blocks and a temporary Clubhouse building will be installed in the near future.

Exciting times ahead!

The 2021 Season is fast approaching and registrations for the 2021 season are now open.

Returning Players

With the 2020 season having been cancelled, fees for fully paid up 2020 WSC registered players have been significantly reduced. Football Australia and Football Victoria fees however still need to be paid so there is still a small fee to be paid by returning players. For Junior players this fee is between $60-$80. However, if the player has had their 2020 fees refunded then this does not apply.

We will be using the 2020 playing strips but if new sizes are required, please come to one of the registration days to resize/order/pay.

If you require a new training ball they can be ordered via the clubs online shop - www.williamstownsc.com/shop

New Players

New players will need to register as per normal. This year our registration days will be as per below:

  • Thursday 4/2 - 6pm-7.30pm

  • Thursday 11/2 6pm-7.30pm

  • Saturday 13/2 -10am-12am (NOTE the change from 6/2 to 13/2)

Please make sure you come down on one of the 3 registration days so we can get your child sized up and uniforms ordered.

Payments can be made at the club or via the clubs online shop. The fees for new members are inclusive of home and away strips, track suit top, training ball and bib.

For anyone who has forgotten how to register check out the instructions in the pdf below or we can assist you on the registration days.
