WSC Senior Women’s Team kicks off with a Friday Night friendly!
There was great excitement at JT Grey yesterday as a crowd gathered under lights to watch the WSC Senior Women’s Team play their inaugural Seniors match and 1st game together in almost 18 months.
The team was due to play their 1st Seniors season for Williamstown in 2020 but was sadly cancelled due to Covid, and although the girls have kept up their training during this time, have not had the opportunity to play a match together since the conclusion of their U16 season in September 2019.
There was a tear in the eye of their coach Tom Bevan, who has seen the majority of these girls progress their way up to Seniors after starting their soccer career with WSC in the clubs first u10 girls team 7 years ago.
Thanks to our u15 girls team for a great match, it was a fantastic celebration to see both teams back out there on the pitch.
