WSC Female Football Program

Williamstown Soccer Club are proud to announce their newly created Female Football Program

WSC has been partnered by Western United FC, Calder United SC and Empire Soccer Training to introduce a FREE skills program for our female football enthusiasts aimed at enhanced development throughout the Season.

As our female participation continues to grow, we recognise that the male players have historically enjoyed increased accessibility and acceptance in the sport of Football (Soccer). In recognition of this we are going to provide additional support for female players at our Club to fast-track their development and engagement, including specialist coaching by Nick Viaggio from Empire Soccer Training across the Season. Nick brings extensive playing and coaching experience to this program, having played for Clubs in both USL and ASL in the United States. He currently has multiple coaching roles, including as Skills Coach at Victoria’s National Training Centre Girl’s Program, Coach at Maribyrnong College’s MSA Football Program and Coach of U14 NPL Boys at Altona Magic. Nick holds a USSF B Licence and is currently undertaking his FFA B Licence in Melbourne.

David Clarkson, WUFC’s Community Football Ambassador said “This is a great initiative and something that we are very proud to support. We look forward to working closely with Nick to ensure he gets all the resources he needs to give the girls at WSC the best opportunity to further develop their skills.”

Amanda Stella, Calder United President and Women’s Football Manager at Western United said “Congratulations WSC for creating this opportunity for their female footballers to further develop with additional training. This is a positive contribution in the players individual football journey and is also investing in the growth of talented female footballers for the future.”

A huge thanks to Western United, Calder United and our inaugural sponsors, Spraying Systems Co., Big 4 Swan Hill and Santospirito Flowers for supporting us in this exciting initiative.
