Girls Supporting Girls: Senior Women Inspire the Next Generation

There was a fantastic atmosphere at Williamstown Soccer Club on Thursday 13 August, as our State League 2 and State League 5 Women’s teams came together to run a special training session for our junior girls.

Open to all of our junior female players, the session gave our young players the opportunity to train alongside some of the senior women who represent Williamstown SC at the highest levels of the club.

The senior players took the girls through a range of football activities and drills, sharing their knowledge, skills and experience while encouraging everyone to get involved and enjoy their football.

For our junior girls, it was a great opportunity to see the senior women in action up close and to experience the pathway that is available to them as they continue their football journey at Williamstown SC.

The night was also a wonderful example of what makes our club special — players supporting players and different generations of the club coming together.

With both a State League 2 and State League 5 women’s team competing in 2026, Williamstown SC continues to build strong opportunities for female players at all levels.

A huge thank you to all of our State 2 and State 5 women who gave their time to make the session such a positive and enjoyable experience for our junior girls.

We hope it was the first of many opportunities for our senior and junior women to train, learn and enjoy the game together.

Girls supporting girls. One club. One pathway.
