Club News

Last night the Ricky Herbert Football Academy from New Zealand was back at Williamstown SC as part of their preparations for this years Shepparton Tournament.

Our U11s and U12s both had a good hit out with both matches played in good spirits. The under 11s went down 4-3 and the U12s winning 1 nil.

Of course the BBQ was going and plenty of sausages were eaten afterwards.

Thanks to the Ricky Herbert Football Academy for coming. We look forward to seeing you again next year.

Thanks to everyone who came down and joined us for the clubs 2017 AGM.

We are pleased to announce that Sam Anicic will continue as Club President for 2018.

Leanne Sutton will also continue a secretary.

After 2 years as club Treasurer Matt Vitiello is stepping back to focus on his career. Matt is joining KPMG and is only working with Melbourne Victory. We thank Matt for all his work over the past to years.

Replacing Matt we welcome Michael Susa back on the committee. Michael has been around the club many years and was previously on the committee as Treasurer a number of years back.

The rest of the committee will remain the same and we also welcome back Brett Blakemore to assist with the coordination of all our Junior Teams.

The new committee will start planning for the 2018 season soon.

Williamstown SC is pleased to announce that Slobode 'Bob' Stojcevski has re-signed as Senior Coach for a 3rd season.

Bob joined us in 2016 and has been coaching for more than 20 years and was previosuly with Green Gully where he coached various teams including their NPL and U20's.

We are also pleased to announce that last years assistant Piotr Rutkowski will continue another season in both a playing and assistant coaching role.

Having joined Williamstown SC in 2016 as a player, Piotr was appointed as a playing assistent to Bob last year.

Piotr has already started a promising coaching career. He is currently taking his FFA B-License while coaching Green Gully's U18 NPL side this season.

We are also happy to have Danny 'Drags' Serovski back as Team Manager and Tamika will continue as our physio.

Bob and his team will continue to build on the last 2 seasons where we have been in the mix for promotion to State league 2.

Over the next few weeks there will a few more announcements regarding the senior coaching staff as the Reserves and U18's positions are finalized.

We look forward to another exciting season in 2018!
